Interesting reading Brian Hibbs' recent analysis of Marvel and DC (and others) sales through the non-Direct Market; Marvel may have majority share in the DM (and that would likely have a lot to do with flooding the market)but only have a about a fifth of the market share compared to DC elsewhere - I can't really see a market for an Pet's Avengers ongoing unless it's just to flood the comic shops with more product (or increase the IP value of the pet characters for Disney).Terence Stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07583845199367128599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6392489189136721402.post-55675786373781067932010-02-14T15:12:01.796+00:002010-02-14T15:12:01.796+00:00I get the impression Marvel are trying to reach ne...I get the impression Marvel are trying to reach new markets. After the failure of S.W.O.R.D and Doctor Voodoo, I would expect Marvel to be a little more discerning in how they reward ongoing status to marginal properties. Unless the Avengers branding is considered that powerful (didn't help ol' Voodoo though).Terence Stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07583845199367128599noreply@blogger.com
