  1. I agree. First they get our hopes up, then they do the same old same old gore. Buh-bye.

  2. You could not have said it better in words, Martin. TOTAL let-down! I am already bored.

  3. I really can't believe it - the Anti-Monitor again. He seems to get rolled out every other 'event' and it's not like he made any sense in the first place.

As for the violence, like the citizens of the DCU, I am gutted.

  4. Clearly, we just have different opinions on what a "brightest day" would be. Me? I'd hope for some ice cream and maybe something good on TV. In the DCU, it's being impaled on drumsticks.

  5. Brilliant review!

I sure hope we DO NOT see a rematch between the Anti-Monitor and Supergirl.

  6. Great review, lol! To the point :)

Still, I have to admit I'm excited to see where Brightest Day is going.

  7. It was tough to watch the innocent Rock Band-playing family get slashed apart. Not exactly Bright.

The problem is that I want to see what comes of the Hawks and Deadman. So at least for now, I guess I will keep reading.

  8. Don't you love how the cover suggests the story will focus around Aquaman? Yet they are only seen in one panel of the whole book?

  9. Ah Heretic, that's cos Brightest Day is the new Countdown!

  10. Pip, as we're both leaving, I'll see you in the bar.
